Tara Babylon

Tara’s fashion design project is a contemporary & performative expression of her own life. She has used each of the 5 cities she lived in to create performances, moods, textiles & visual narratives. Her body of work consists of a unisex mix of movement and craftsmanship. The starting point for this collection was extracting memories from these 5 cities – Baghdad, Sheffield, Manchester, London and NYC – and creating textiles & techniques from each one of them. Within her design process she used herself as a blank canvas to develop shape and silhouette ideas. Tara designs for all bodies and does not identify as a gender-specific designer.
