Tara really wanted to understand the DNA of the company and of the coffee itself. She researched the brand and found that illycaffè takes pride in using nine types of pure Arabica coffee beans. She was very intrigued by the logo, as one wouldn’t necessarily think of coffee. She researched the Arabica plant and incorporated its white flowers and fruits in her design using her handmade technique, because she discovered that the Arabica flowers are essential to the process. Bees help speed up the pollination process by up to 25% and the fruit that develops from the flower is where the coffee beans are. Everything in Tara’s apron concept is derived from how the coffee beans are produced.
