Syna has an interest in breaking the boundaries between traditional fashion design and other fields, constantly challenging the possibilities. Her “Operation Europa” collection picks Sports, Utilitary and Clubbing elements from the astronaut gear and sci-fi series of the 60s and 70s, dipping them into a storytelling context which describes her design proposal for this project as well: “Humans and aliens, welcome onboard The Europa 001 with service from the Earth to Europa. I’m the purser of this flight, thank you for choosing Europa Space Lines. After the spacecraft arrives, be sure to turn your airbag switch to allow you to walk in low gravity. Enjoy your flight.”
